The research, by 18 academics, was released last week by the National Marriage Project, an initiative of the University of Virginia and the Institute for American Values, two partisan advocates of traditional marriage... The report argued the children of cohabiting parents tended to do worse at school, have more psychological problems, were more likely to experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse, and to experience delinquency and drug abuse.
