Concensus Builder for Moral base in Society

Last week, after two years of effort, 24 prominent professors, politicians and community organizers from across the spectrum signed a new report issued by the [Institute for American Values] that is likely to stimulate debate. The report, titled “A Call to Civil Society: Why Democracy Needs Moral Truths,“ is the group’s most ambitious effort to date, making 41 recommendations to various segments of society to reverse what it calls the nation’s growing inequality and moral depletion.
